This is Lake Charles in the Holy Cross Wilderness Area in Colorado, somewhere between Vail and Aspen as the crow flies, if crows flew in the fog. That day the morning's cloudy weather turned first into drizzle and then into heavy rain. When the downpour stopped the greenery was freshly cleaned, the air was still, and thick fog made the surroundings silent, tranquil, and timeless.
